I will bet u the most difficult part that every starter faces is "Where to start" and i am no exception. At this time i caught hold of a simple, easy and nice book......One Night @ Call Center by Chetan Bhagat.the author of Five Point Someone.
The best part of the book is the way in which the story is carried on, the characters and GOD..
The Characters portrayed:
Shyam stands as a role model for Sarcasm, a guy whose promotion is dumped by his boss and love by Priyanka . Vroom a guy who wants to earn more cash and lead a hep life. Radhika a married women who is cheated by her husband. Esha pucca modern girl who wants to pursue her modeling career. Priyanka the girl who dumped Shyam, who has just accepted a proposal for marriage from Mr.Microsoft.......sorry bald head Ganesh who is working in Microsoft, Seattle. Military Uncle a fine old man who is chucked out by his son. Last but not the least Bakshi a stupid but evil manager.
The GOD conversion gave me insight of what we r missing out in our life. All of a sudden GOD calling then on a no-signal-cell phone is imaginary..but the words spoken by the GOD character helps u to find light at the end of the tunnel....the words that each and everyone must remember in life, to succeed.
Dating with our self:
In this current fast moving world we are unable not only share time with our loved ones but also to spend with ourselves.By doing this we miss to hear what exactly we want in life. Our instincts constantly try to communicate with us but we fail to hear it. Practically speaking we ignore it.........so we fail in the steps that we take.....retracing our steps also becomes difficult. First we have to think what exactly we want to do, think within yourself and then decide on the stand that u r going to take.
Secret of Success:
The Author Chetan Bhagat gives a four step agenda for success through GOD.
- Medium amount of Intelligence
- Bit of imagination
- Self-confidence
- Failure
Failure......................you wonder why this is on the list. the author has justified this by saying that when u taste failure you won't have much fear. You can take risk more easily...u won't snuggle in u'r comfort zone.
"Success is about flying, not snuggling"
Other incidents are predictable and usual. he completes the story by stating how they can change things if they think.......not to stand in the same place-move on.
He also describes how sarcasm can ruin one's life through Shyam charater. I was not impressed with the ending. But still the witting and sequence of incidents will steal your heart.
