My Special Best Friend
It is really tough to write a post when you know very less words to describe about a special person. I created nearly 15 to 20 posts about this person and ended up in deleting them, just because I dint find them apt to suit what I want to say. It’s about a Special Best Friend.
The famous quote that triggers in my mind whenever I say “FRIEND” is
“A touch of care,
A heart to share,
With someone other than a friend,
Is indeed rare”
But she is not only a person who shares my happiness and hard days but also the one who shared her blood, gene, her life with me. In fact she is the ONE who created me….yes that’s my mom…my Special Best Friend.
There are ‘n’ numbers of word, poems and prose to describe about other relationships. But no literary work can replicate the relationship between a mother and child exactly in words….this explains y my brain was set to work for one full month to write about a person….a special person….to check for words and phrases in various places to fit in with my feeling and thoughts…but in vain I dint find any, except for one song…..my favourite song written by Vairamuthi, composed my AR Rahman …for the film Pavitra…its

Many defining moments have happened in my life (especially this month...will post those sometime later) she has always played a main role in it.
She is the ONE who took g8 efforts to make sure I am comfortable each day in my life. She is the ONE who comes to rescue me when I am facing difficulty. She is the ONE who consoles me whenever I cry ( …the day I lost CTS placement)… She is the ONE who gave me confidence each time I was badly in need…she is my role model…she is the ONE who taught me good and bad…she is the ONE who brought me back when I was about to take a wrong path…she is the ONE who created me not just as a human species but as a nice, efficient and BOLD person.
Being kids and fighting with friends is a usual event. Whenever I fight with someone, their mothers will be the devil whom I have to face…during that time my mother had never rescued me….she made sure that I face those devil (…pardon me for describing my frds mom as devil because that’s how it was during that time)…I used to curse my mom for not being on my side…but now I feel great for her strategy which enables me to handle any person whom I meet in my path.
I will never forget one incident that made me to realize my mom’s strategy. This happened when I was in 8th or 9th. I had a close friend during that time. Her mom used to accompany her all the time…to leave her at school…receive her back from school, even thought she had a cycle. One fine day her cycle got punctured and her mom dint come… [I don’t remember y she dint come]. The moment she saw her cycle she started crying…in front of all…I was wondering what is making her cry…to my surprise reason for tears was simply a punctured cycle. I helped her to get things done. When I sent her home and mounted to drive my cycle I was feeling proud and happy that I had the confidence to handle a situation. This made me realize y my mom left me alone all the time. Though this incident was a petty one, it’s big to me just because it was an eye opener.
She made sure that I don’t depend on anyone for anything. I thank her for making me a self-depended person. […since this is a special post for my mom, dad is absent…..sorry dad will write about you latter]. She has not only been my mom but my best friend. She is the one who knows each and every thing that happens in my life.
Though one fine day I have to leave this place and move to some other house…calling my mother-in-law as my mom, I wouldn’t miss my mom….because she is filled in my memories forever….as my mom and as my best friend.
